Hubert von Goisern is the stage name of Hubert Achleitner, a name taken in tribute to his home town of Bad Goisern. The Alpinkatzen, Hubert's band with whom he made a breakthrough onto the German-speaking music scene played their last concert in 1994, but Hubert continued to work on a variety of projects and made a highly successful comeback with a new band in November 2000. Since then, the accolades have continued to pour in, CDs have hit the charts, concert halls have sold out and Hubert's travels have gained him admirers all over the world.
